When a clinic uses the term without specifying which it means, that is a reasonable point to ask about rather than assume.

Research on MSCs spans many conditions, which reflects interest in their signaling activity rather than settled evidence across all of them. Ask what is known about the specific application proposed to you, how many sessions are planned, and what would indicate the approach is not working. General enthusiasm about the category tells you far less than a direct answer about your own case and what would follow from it.
