Ask which studies relate to your condition specifically and what outcomes those studies actually measured.
Practical questions follow from this. Ask what result would be considered meaningful in your case, how it would be assessed, and at what interval. Ask what the plan would be if nothing changes. A clinic willing to describe uncertainty plainly is reflecting the current state of the field rather than being unhelpful, and that honesty is easier to work with than confident language.
